The 10th China "Chile Week" (Chongqing Station) officially kicked off in Chongqing on October 22, 2025. As an important commemorative event marking the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Chile and the 20th anniversary of the signing of the free trade agreement between the two countries, this year's Chile Week has expanded its branch venue to Chongqing, an inland city in China, for the first time, attracting representatives from over 100 enterprises and institutions in the fields of agriculture, logistics, investment, and innovation. Tang Daiping, General Manager of Chongqing Leeyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (international brand "Leeyu"), was invited as a guest to participate in the opening ceremony and discussed cooperation opportunities with government and business representatives from both China and Chile.

This year's Chile Week, themed "Sharing Opportunities, Creating the Future," covers four cities: Tianjin, Chongqing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai. The Chongqing event focused on cooperation in agriculture and industry. At the opening ceremony, the Chilean Ambassador to China stated, "As a hub city of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor, Chongqing is an important gateway for Chilean products entering the Chinese inland market. We look forward to further deepening bilateral trade and economic exchanges through the Chile Week activities."

Tang Daiping, General Manager of Chongqing Liyu Precision Technology Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese hardware tool exporter, was invited to attend the opening ceremony and participate in the dialogue session on "Opportunities and Challenges of Sino-Chilean Enterprise Cooperation." He pointed out, based on his company's experience, that Sino-Chilean cooperation has shifted from traditional trade to joint development of technical standards and collaborative upgrading of the industrial chain.

Tang Daiping stated, "Liyu Precision's customized intelligent nail gun equipment for the Chilean mining market has seen a significant increase in customer satisfaction through localized services. This proves that technological empowerment and localized services are key to opening up international markets." He further suggested that Chinese and Chilean enterprises strengthen mutual recognition of technical standards, jointly cultivate multi-skilled talents, and leverage Chile's advantages in lithium mining and clean energy to jointly build a green supply chain.

Liyu Precision's nail gun products hold a 12% market share in South America, ranking among the top Chinese exporters. During a break in the event, Tang Daiping revealed that his company is discussing with Chilean partners the establishment of a joint R&D center in Santiago, focusing on developing mining equipment suitable for the geological conditions of the Andes Mountains. He emphasized, "Chile is not only an important market for us, but also an 'overseas laboratory' for technological innovation."
The 10th Chile Week, co-hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, the Chongqing Municipal People's Government, the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Chilean Embassy in China, aims to promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation between China and Chile through policy dialogue, business matchmaking, and cultural exchanges. The Chongqing leg of the event will run until October 26th, and will also include a series of activities such as the China-Chile Investment Forum, an agricultural product fair, and a technical standards seminar, providing a platform for in-depth collaboration between companies from both countries.
